Netflix has made some major announcements: Orange is the New Black will be premiering its new season on 9 June, and they are rebooting The Magic School Bus.
It will remain animated, and this time, Ms Frizzle will be voiced by lesbian comedian Kate McKinnon. McKinnon currently works on S.N.L., known for her portrayals of Justin Bieber, Hilary Clinton and Betsy DeVos, as well as being one of the latest Ghostbusters.
The original Ms Frizzle was voiced by Lily Tomlin, who is also gay. So in a way, it is a continuation of a legacy.
