Lady Gaga and Sam Smith were two notable GLBT winners at this year’s Golden Globes.

Gaga won the  Golden Globe for best performance by an actress in a TV movie or miniseries award for her onscreen turn in the fifth installment of America Horror Story: Hotel.

The bisexual star broke down in tears as she collected the award saying”I feel like Cher in that John Patrick Shanley film Moonstruck right now — this is one of the greatest moments of my life,”

Sam Smith won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture, alongside Jimmy Napes, for his work on ‘Writing’s On the Wall, the theme song to latest Bond instalment Spectre.

“This has been the most interesting night of my life”, the 23-year-old said upon accepting the award.
