Auckland University students in conjunction with AUSA are gearing up for the 2016 Pride Week celebration on and around the central city campus.

Pride Week is a staple on the Auckland University calendar and is organised by the Auckland University Student Association with help from organisations such as UniQ, the Auckland University Queer social group, and other community organisations.

Pride Week promises a selection of speakers, events, and entertainment included a Coming Out Panel on Tuesday 25 April, a Pride Week Student Forum on Wednesday, and a Mardi Gras Party held at student bar, Shadows, on Thursday 27 April. The Mardi Gras event will feature drag performances, spot prizes, and a DJ making for a frivolous night for queer students and their friends.
