Parallel Events + Styling, the team behind last year’s Let’s Get Proud party held during USCA’s (University of Canterbury Students Association) Sexuality Awareness Week, are bringing a one-night-only masked party to Auckland.

Galatos is being taken over and transformed into a edgy, promiscuous dance floor with the creative team promising it will be their biggest dance party yet.

With floor-to-ceiling velvet drapes, soaring 5-metre-high ornate ceilings and an original sprung dance floor, this is the perfect venue for an event this fabulous.

Paired with the incredible in-house sound system, Parallel Event’s production team have epic plans to bring you the very best top-line lighting and visual elements. With a dance floor this good, you’ll find it hard to stop jumping, get your hands down and keep your shirt on.

Although not compulsory, masks of all shapes and sizes — especially glitter-covered and diamante-trimmed — are encouraged. The bigger the ostrich feather, the better!

Well-known showgirls Victoria Secretzz and Yuri Guaìí will be slotted seamlessly into the night, providing the entertainment for the evening — these queens will blow you away with their glitz, glamour and talent.

MascGayRaid also boasts internationally demanded DJ Jordan Eskra spinning the decks. Eskra has played across the nation, keeping the LGBT+ community singing, sweating and dancing on the floor. His popularity spawns not only from his incredibly good looks and dance moves, but also his ability to mix gay anthems with popular club favourites.

We spoke with Jesse North, Parallel Events + Styling co-creator, who said “We are really excited to bring you MascGayRaid, a night filled with glitz, glamour and gayness. You have just over three weeks, it’s time to start hunting out that perfect outfit!”

“With $5.00 per ticket being donated to OUTLineNZ, there is every reason to gather the troops and come along.”

Don’t miss MascGayRaid on 2 June at Galatos, 17 Galatos Street, Auckland. Strictly limited tickets are available NOW from dashtickets.co.nz — this event is set to be a sell out!
