The glitzy Capitol Theatre, a venue steeped in old-school glamour, played host to the launch of The Rialto Channel’s Fashion’s Front Row.
Presented by Lorraine Downes – Fashion’s Front Row, a series of documentaries celebrating the fabulousness of fashion’s past, will take over Thursday nights from 8.30pm throughout August on The Rialto Channel.
Fashion’s Front Row debut’s on Thursday 6 August with Halston – which documents the rise and fall of the first American designer to conquer Europe’s high fashion scene. It is followed on Thursday 13 August by Celebration: Yves Saint Laurent and Jean Paul Gualtier: Freak & Chic on Thursday 20 August.
The Capitol Theatre will also play host to the premiere of Steelers: The World’s First Gay Rugby Club tomorrow at 7pm – tickets from www.thecapitol.co.nz
