Queer community notables descended on Q Theatre for the opening of Shane Bosher’s Everything After on Saturday 3 July.
The Adam Award-winning play follows five years in the life of Nick an HIV+ gay man in his early 50’s who survived the AIDS epidemic and is now navigating his way around a modern gay world filled with hook-up apps, a changing safe-sex landscape and chemsex.
This tragic tale is a brave conversation starter about our community and how we hold on to our histories and celebrate those who paved the way. The brilliant cast delivers strong and emotional performances.
Simon Prast, Alison Bruce, Arlo Green, Simon Leary, Stephen Lovatt and Matt Minto are a dream team, delivering a script that will make you laugh, cry and feel like you’ve been punched in the stomach with its raw, brutal honesty.
Everything After explores the hardships of growing older in the queer community, the challenge of change, and the struggle to process trauma.
If one play could bring a community together it is Everything After. A must-see!
Everything After is on at Q Theatre until Sunday 18 July. Book here.
