As part of Auckland Pride 2023, Auckland Museum welcomes LGBTTQIA+ families and their allies to a fun-filled day of craft activities and entertainment!
Pride Family Fun Day, which starts from 10 am till 5 pm on Sunday the 19th of February 2023, includes a very special drag queen storytime with Anita Wigl’it (from RuPaul’s Drag Race – Down Under) and Ivanna Drink and is FREE with Museum entry.
The special Pride event will see Auckland Museum giving away sweet treats and spot prizes along with exciting interactive activities, including crafts such as badgemaking and a giant handprint artwork, and a vibrant chalk pavement which LGBTTQIA+ families and their allies are encouraged to add to as they enter the building into Te Ao Mārama South Atrium.
Auckland Museum is proud to provide a safe and inclusive place for all and welcomes all families to come and celebrate the richness of the society in which we live.
