Get ready for a right ol’ Royal knees-up without the pomp and pageantry – as Invivo – the local wine company behind Graham Norton wines and spirits – teams up with the Morningside Tavern to bring Aucklanders The Great British Pub Quiz!
For one night only on Wednesday, 31 May, whether you’re a flag wielding-monarchist, a Brit based in Auckland or fancy a great night out with mates, join the Invivo and Morningside Tavern teams to celebrate the upcoming first King’s Birthday long weekend in honour of King Charles III (Monday 6 June) and the recent King’s Coronation.
Throughout the course of the evening, quizzers will tackle eight rounds, including ‘Last Orders’, ‘The World of Drink, ’ ‘Norton’s Peepers’, and ‘Royal Riddles’. Dressing up in your finest Royalist regalia is optional, but be sure to bring your best quizzing game, as there are a whole host of prizes up for grabs!
Guests can sip on a selection of themed cocktails such as ‘The English Garden’ and ‘The Grapefruit and Marmalade Fizz’ featuring Graham Norton’s award-winning wine and spirits range. The Tavern’s English Chef, James Wilkinson, will also be serving up the ‘Gourmet Great British Pub Platter’ with tasty morsels such as Slow-cooked Beef and Mustard Mash Pies, Prawn Cocktail Vol au Vents and Breaded Fish Fingers with ‘curry’ mayo.

Tables can be booked in advance via phone at 09 869 7090 or via the Morningside Tavern website; and choose a table between 5 pm & 7 pm on Wednesday, 31 May, selecting “Great British Pub Quiz” during the booking process!
