“Expect more lights, floats, glitter, love and colour!” Auckland Rainbow Parade’s Co-Chair gets us hyped for the Ponsonby Road parade’s Summer return!
The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow will be positioned in Ponsonby as the Auckland Rainbow Parade returns bringing diversity, unity, respect, celebration, inclusion and loads of colour in 2024.
Co-Chair Matt Bagshaw says “We’re absolutely thrilled to announce a date of Saturday, 17 February 2024. This will be our second motorised parade, which continues to grow – expect more lights, floats, glitter, love and colour to celebrate the rainbow community and our diversity and inclusion corporate partners and participants. We will all be bringing our LGBTQIA+ game with energy, creativity, humour and fun.
We’re excited to have partnered with Woolworths who have come on board as a gold sponsor, ANZ proudly supporting the Parade Supporters Function and MediaWorks who have returned as the Official Parade Radio and Out-of-Home (OOH) Partner.”
From 5.30pm Ponsonby Road will come alive with a range of pre-parade activations and from 7.00pm it’s time to start the engines, kick your dancing heels together and hit play on those sound systems!
