Ponsonby Road’s ANZ GayTM has been vandalised.
The Ponsonby ANZ ATM was decorated in rhinestones and bright paint in a design by for this year’s Pride festival with a design from artist Reuben Paterson.
However overnight it was covered in white paint in what appeared to be an act of homophobic vandalism.

ANZ tweeted it’s disappointment this morning saying “Our Ponsonby GAYTM was vandalised this morning. Sadly some people still ignorant and intolerant.”
However, ANZ are adamant that the GayTM will be operating again very soon later tweeting “We’ll get it back up and glittering again in no time.”
