Swift’s new song and video is being described as her most political yet, with a strong message of support for the LGBTI community, encouragement of individuals to be proud of who they truly are, and criticism for those who spread messages of hate and intolerance.

At the end of her video, Swift also posts a strong message promoting the Equality Act saying “Let’s show our pride by demanding that, on a national level, our laws truly treat all of our citizens equally.”

The message also includes a request to sign her petition for the United States Senate to support the Equality Act on Change.org.
