The Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust are bringing sparkle and celebrity guests galore to this year’s fundraising gala, held at glamourous waterfront venue The Wharf in Northcote Point.
Join us for an evening of glamour and sparkle, set in the sumptuous surrounds of one Auckland’s most stunning waterfront venues, The Wharf. The Rainbow Celebration Gala brought to you by the Rainbow New Zealand Charitable Trust is set to be a night to remember.
The GALA is a true celebration with a different format for the night than previous years. We have brought together the some of the best Drag Divas New Zealand has to offer, Brazilian Dancers to tantalise and live music sensation, Sugar Town, to dance the night away….All this plus we are proud to be celebrating our special guest of honour, international trans icon and a recipient this year of an NZ Order of Merit, Georgina Beyer!
This glittering event is a fundraiser for The Rainbow New Zealand Charitable trust and there will be a few select items for the live auction on the night and with the help of express, we are taking many other items online for the first time. With the support of our sponsors ANZ, Southern Cross Health Society, Aurecon and AUT. 100% of all profits from the event will go towards the grants and scholarships awarded by Trust.
“We’ve made some changes to our annual fundraiser in recognition of the current climate”, says Gresham Bradley RNZCT Chairperson. “People told us that they want a chance to enjoy a glamorous evening with friends and to celebrate the achievements Aotearoa has gained. We wanted to respond to this need and to keep our ticket prices as affordable as possible. Instead of a sit-down dinner, we are offering light canapes during the evening, and we have kept the best features of our GALA’s including Michelle Maitland swinging her hammer over our live Auction, our tradition of scintillating entertainers continues and for the first time we are adding a live band to get people up dancing. On top of all this, we are beyond excited to have one of the most esteemed members of our Rainbow Family, Georgina Beyer coming to join the party. All of this at one of the most iconic harbourside venues, a short hop from downtown over the harbour bridge.”
