As Sydney WorldPride comes to an end, Fifty Thousand turned out this morning to make history as they marched across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge as part of Sydney WorldPride’s Pride March.

Celebrating the achievements made to date while acknowledging the work still to be done, this morning’s march showcased a powerful international statement of unity and the demand for equality, not only in Australia but for all LGBTQIA+ people worldwide.

The Fifteen Thousand marchers from across the globe went all out, being doused in glitter, dressing in bright colours, while waving Pride Flags, walking from north to south across the bridge.

Holding hands with friends, allies and family, the march was a powerful display of love and support and a reminder of the ongoing struggles for LGBTQIA+ rights in the Asia-Pacific.

The march was open to all LGBTQIA+ people and allies and marks the final day of Sydney WorldPride, which ran for 17 days, from 17 February to 5 March 2023 and incorporated Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras with over 300 events.
