Once awarded the tick, organisations are monitored to ensure they continue to meet the standards set by the programme. Rainbow Tick was the first programme of its kind in New Zealand and over 90 organisations across the country have now been given the tick.

Speaking to express, Stevens says he feels the “need for a change.”

It’s been great, and fascinating, taking it from an idea to this stage, where we have over 90 organisations signed up and a growing team around the country, but personally I need something new,” Stevens says.

Stevens will formally leave his position at the end of January.
