The United States has imposed strict sanctions on Uganda because of their anti-gay laws.
The US has imposed strict visa restrictions, which will prevent certain Ugandan officials, those involved in human rights abuses, from entering the country.
Other sanctions include cancelling a military exercise in Uganda, diverting aid to other African countries and cutting funding to a Ugandan Police programme.
