For the second time, RainbowYOUTH, along with ASB, are offering tertiary students a shot at their $2,500 scholarship.

Applicants need to be enrolled or intending on enrolling in full-time study at a tertiary institution, and also have volunteered within the LGBT+ community. This scholarship is to help promote the helping of the rainbow community by looking for applicants who have strong histories in involvement. In particular, “work which often goes unrecognised” is a focus for this scholarship, says Executive Director Duncan Matthews.

Last year (its inaugural year), the scholarship was awarded to Brodie Fraser (studying political science at Victoria University) and Caitlyn Drinkwater (studying a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at the University of Auckland).
