After the series of Women’s Marches around the USA and the world, where thousands upon thousands of women marched in support of women’s rights, we are set to witness another, this time, for LGBT+ Pride.

Set for 11 June to coincide with Washington DC’s Pride festival, the march’s Facebook page has over 95,000 people interested and another 26,000 people RSVPing that they will go.

Other cities, like Austin, Texas are also organising their own marches to accompany the principal Washington DC march. The organisers of the National march also stress for more locations to organise their own, saying on the event page, “if you cannot attend the March in Washington DC, we urge you to reach out to your local Pride organisations to assist in creating solidarity through your existing Pride events. Let’s make this truly a ‘National Pride March’ that spreads from coast to coast and shows solidarity through our Pride movement.”
