Another new queen to the scene, Vulgar is all about self-confidence and body positivity. She’s also a party animal and loves going out with her close friend (and now competition) Bunny Holiday. A frequent performer at the Ivy Bar in Wellington, Vulgar knows how to turn it on for an audience!

Where did you get your stage name from?
It was my Instagram name and it was kinda just the easiest way for people to know who I was.

Tell me about your character? Who are they?
Vulga is the BIG BLONDE MESS of Wellington, she’s an absolute party animal also known as the dick pig (rare species in NZ) who loves boys, food and more food!!

If you could lip-sync battle one person (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
Oh god if anyone, it would be Pete burns, he was an icon that told me I could grow up to be the most beautiful idiot I could ever be.

Have you got a hidden talent? If so, what is it?
I can eat a lot if that counts.

Who is your idol?
My mum, I know it’s cheesy but she’s one bad motherf****r, she’s always been an inspiration for me. She’s one of the coolest people you’ll ever meet also my sister as much as I hate her I absolutely adore her also she’s super pretty until I’m in drag (she won’t admit it but it’s true)

If you were going to be famous for a catch-phrase, what would it be?
“Who the f**ks hungry” mainly due to me being hungry 99% of the time.

The first two episodes House of Drag launch today on TVNZ OnDemand, with episodes released weekly at midday.
