After an absence of several years, Urge Black returned to the capital on Saturday 22 May. Valhalla Bar was heaving with hot, sweaty men dancing the night away to DJs Everett Wayne (Tauranga) and Pet (Wellington), with a variety of performances throughout the night. Organiser Alan Granville said “ ‘It’s safe to say it wasn’t the usual night at Valhalla but they were fantastic hosts. An epic night, we won’t leave it as long between gigs in the capital.’
