After a successful first year, Legacy Project is back and wants to help tell the stories of the LGBT community.

Legacy Project is set to return for 2015 Pride and Auckland Fringe.Six brand new works will be performed in a week-long showcase at the Q Theatre LOFT in early February 2015 and Legacy project is in need of talented actors.

Submissions have now closed for writers to submit short theatrical works that deal with LGBT characters or experiences from a Kiwi perspective. The six final scripts have been chosen and these will now be developed over the coming months. An additional six directors have been selected from submissions and will assist in bringing each story to life, working together with actors to strengthen the work before it premieres during Auckland Pride Festival and Auckland Fringe in 2015.

Auditions will be held on Saturday 6th December,

Those who audition will receive an audition slot time, in which they will need to prepare a brief monologue of their own choosing (no more than 5 minutes) that showcases the kind of material – either dramatic or comedic – they would like to work on. Auditions will be in front of six directors each looking to cast their play – so those auditioning are encouraged to make sure they show versatility.
